Career Decision Ambiguity Tolerance and Career Decision-Making Difficulties in a French Sample: The Mediating Role of Career Decision Self-Efficacy
By Nils Myszkowski in Career adaptability Personality Psychometrics
What it’s about
In this paper, we investigate how tolerance for ambiguity relates to career decision-making difficulties and how self-efficacy helps explain this relationship.
Abstract
Career decisions often involve uncertainty, and individuals differ in how well they tolerate ambiguity. This study examines how ambiguity tolerance is associated with career decision-making difficulties in a French sample. Results support a mediating role for career decision self-efficacy, suggesting that confidence in one’s decision capabilities helps translate ambiguity tolerance into better decision outcomes.
