By Nils Myszkowski in Psychometrics Personality Empathy
What it’s about
In this paper, we compare competing dimensional structures of the Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy using French data.
Abstract
The dimensional structure of empathy questionnaires has direct consequences for score interpretation and research conclusions. This study evaluates whether the Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy is better modeled with two broad dimensions or a more fine-grained five-dimension structure in a French sample. Results provide evidence to guide structural interpretation and future measurement use in empathy research.
